Your talking about the copper colored washer thst sits on the back side of the C2 clutch drum correct? (Edit: posted before I saw the photo)

Have you completely disassembled the front rotating assembly?

Did you by chance replace the C1 clutch drum? Or the input shaft? A mismatch of input shaft to the wrong C1 drum could potentially cause your issue.

Yes that is correct and hmm I did use a donor Alli when I did the build and swapped a few parts that didn't show as much wear . I'm gonna double check and get right back to ya .. makes sense ..

I'm sure I did use a different drum and shaft combo in the build my drum was showing a lot of marks from the steels chattering . So I would probably need to match the input shaft from the donor trans to the drum from the input or will the washer wear to fit ??

Did you keep the C1 clutch drum matched to the input shaft?

I'm not asking about the whole drum. I'm asking about the C1 clutch drum, or hub if you prefer. The part that goes directly around the C1 clutches.

Sorry misunderstood what you were saying yes I have the hub to that input shaft but honestly I think I used the other one when I assembled it .. didn't know they were different sizes . I'm gonna take a look at it in the am .

I take it this is your first build? You decided to do some parts switching? Not a good idea.

Yes was my first and I am now seeing my that I should've left it to the pros ..shifts beautiful ,no surge ,no flare ,just running warm during normal driving .. I mean to the point to where it dosent want to cool at an idle I have to run the rpms up to about 1400 to get the temp to drop .. I also think that was related to a used 1056 suncoast triple disc I bought from a guy in a group ,think it was toast so I have a new Ats on the way ..

I know I know .. like I said I should've just bought a built trans with a new converter to start with ,but I listened to the "it's a walk in the park from others that installed the gmax5 kit " and instead of buying the kit to include the tc I bought "only 4K miles on it tc from a member of another group " saved 500$ on converter just to have to buy another at full price ..

That "bad" 1056 is probably still better off than any ats converter..

If you keep the ats you'll get to buy a third converter too..

Will you please post pictures of the c1 clutch hub? Both sides. And of the end of the input shaft. The end that the c1 hub rides on.
