Trying to educate myself a little on what function the "G" solenoid serves in an LBZ 6spd Allison?? I have heard that it helps bleed off hydraulic pressure. What benefit would there be in essentially turning this functionality off in the TCM programming? Does the ATS Co Pilot affect its functioning?

The Allison works off a constant 245 psi of line pressure and it doesn't vary. That amount of pressure is not needed at idle speed; all it does is overwork the pump and put unwanted heat in the trans. The G solenoid was installed for this reason and it's function is to cutback pressure by 100 psi at anything below 7% throttle angle. As soon as the angle goes above 7% the pressure comes back.
