I have been reading the threads on the broken alli's. I am in the process of a motor build with great power potential. I don't want to be another guy that keeps fixing his trans. What do you guys recommend doing to the allison to make it live behind some serious power. My budget is pretty tight after the motor build but I want to do what I can to help the trans. Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

Realistically, what kind of HP do you plan on making? I'm pushing around 800-850 at the wheels, and after 20ish passes at the drag strip and over 3000 miles, I haven't had any transmission problems yet.

I plan to be aleast the 800 and closer 1000 with spray. I have a sc4 with a copilot now and I don't think it is going to live.

I got help setting up my transmission from George (Big Dipper). He was really good to work with, and I've been happy with the results so far.

I sent George an email and haven't heard back. I just want to do what I can while the trans is still out of the truck.

Best bet is to call him. If you don't have his phone number, PM me, and I'll give it to you.
