Has anyone successfully used the six speed rotating clutch assembly in the 5 speeds? I have an extra 6 speed clutch drum and i was thinking it would be an easy upgrade for a 5 speed.

I also have a 22 tooth pump gear and wear plate i was thinking about installing.

this is for a built transmission!

Thanks!

It'll work fine. If you're going to run a bunch of power I suggest a billet C2 hub to go along with it. 6 Speed front rotating assemblies are hard on the C2/P2 under a lot of power.

Alright thank you. I was planning to use 6 speed alto clutches, with sleeved c2 hub, billet input and transgo kit, with georend pto covers and maybe an orange spring and shim(RT-A01-PR). Should see around 850whp.

Sleeved C2 hub will fail.

Alright, I'll go with with billet then. In your experience does the 5 speed rotating clutch assembly fair better than the 6 speed at that power level? I have both option available and if I'm causing problems then I may just stick with the 5 speed(I'll go with a billet c2 and input either way) thanks again for your time.

I have success with either one. Make sure you bump the pressure up with my spring.
