New here, and to diesel 4x4 too.

I'm working with an old school rock crawler and we're shoe-horning a 2013 Duramax into a 1986 M1008 pickup. Thought it would be pretty cool but then found there were no clocking adapters for the 1000 !!?? The Allison is a lefty but our 1986 suspension is a righty....

Surely we're mistaken. We are shocked that our Google searches haven't found an adapter !

It would be so fine to adapt our 1000 to the right hand Dana 60 axle of this 1986 CUCV. The alternatives are a left hand early Ford, or a custom build Chevy axle for many $$$.

Any Guru out there have a thought?

01-10 allison tail housings are easier to work with. 6 bolt pattern instead of the 10(?) bolt pattern of 11+.

AA makes a clocking ring that is ford NP271/3 bolt pattern. One stud is different position then the GM 6 bolt. Just have to elongate one hole. I run this clocking ring to bolt a np273 behind my Allison.

Can you swap the extension housing from an 01-10 to an 11+? Have you also worked out how you're going to get the 2013 engine to run? I know they don't work in stand alone configurations like 08 and older engines do due to the vats system and bcm integration.

Dallas S and Thefermanator. Two thoughts.

Dallas says earlier Ally works, but I don't have an earlier. And I'm wondering why Allison or after market aren't providing a clocking ring?

Thefermanator says try an extension housing swap. I will look at that.

Meanwhile, I thank you guys for your thoughts on how to clock this 2013. It is a problem that we didn't foresee. We assumed Allison and the aftermarket would be all over it.
