We here at SunCoast have been in development of a lighter Flex plate and just got all blessings from SFI after testing was completed! It's weighing in around 9 lbs with our ring gear, about 10-11 lbs lighter than the billet steel. I will post better pictures/specs tomorrow when i get to work.

Currently we are not recommending these for daily driving. We will be installing one to see what the long term effects of daily driving would do to the material type.

That's some serious weight savings. It will be interesting to see how your testing goes. For the weekend toy big HP trucks they may work great.

We didn't design this with the thoughts of being a daily driven part. It's always nice to be able to shave rotating mass and weigh when and where possible especially with something connected to the crank. I must say that it was heavily pushed forward with the enthusiasm of Wade Moody. We had been talking about it for sometime but Wades inquiries helped push the product along. So if it will, that's a bonus. Not everything in this industry is designed for the everyday driver as you know. With the horsepower mark growing ever so rapidly Some products will be simply overkill for the street. However, It WILL go hand in hand with some products soon to be released :thumb::D.

Is this a stock type replacement, or is it only for internally balanced engines?

Both can be made. The one pictured is for an internally balanced motor

Thanks, Andrew. I thought that's what it looked like; I'm glad to know you have both styles available. They look awesome :thumb:
