I have spent the past 6 hours working on my truck get everything back in and running. Just about done, expect the water meth, fuel pump, oil, coolant, and some wiring.
A couple of questions, what do i have to do for the start up? I am not sure what to do for priming the oil and fuel. Also who would be the best for to do my tuning, I am looking at using Duramax tuner or Danvile doing the tuning, so which will be the best choice, I just want a good safe tune.
My mods are LBZ rods, De-lipped stock piston, duel cp3s, Keyed crank and cam, Head studs, main studs, Hamilton valve springs, water Meth, S366, and 30 over injectors.

if you've never had 30's, I made 585rwhp on 2300Us on my GMC with pretty low timing.

Personally, I would use a preluber to prime the engine before you start it, but just me. Most may just pull the FICM harness and crank for a little bit.

:thumb: This is my first diesel rebuild, one my gas engines I always just primed the oil pump and ran it a 1900 RPMs for 25 minutes, I just was wondering what i should do hear. Also how sacred should I be of driving it with the bigger injectors and no tuning. I was planning on driving it to where every I will be getting it tuned, or should I just get a auto cal and have ATP do it?

Here's what I did. Pulled the ficm connections and cranked the motor twice for 30sec. I used a lot of assembly lube so I wasn't too concerned with needing a preluber. After that I plugged the ficm back in and it fired right up. Let it idle for a couple min looking for fuel leaks or oil leaks as I didn't ha e coolant in it. After all was good I filled with coolant. Let it idle to temp, checked for leaks again then shut it down. From there I just started driving it.

That first start up is quite nerve racking, specially when you assemble the whole lower and top end your self. But when it fires up and all is well, talk about a sense of accomplishment lol

I am looking at doing removing the air heater coil for the summer and putting a boost probe in there. Is this smart? When I do this, do I just tape of the end of the power line?

I would just unhook the wire at the relay. Also if you have not seen yet a drain plug for a 2000 cummins works great. I took off my glow plug and intake heater crap. Still starts great even with one delco battery
