So I've had a truck at my house for 9 months, truck was hauled in on a trailer for smokes trans, took him this long to come up with money for parts. Anyways, I built the trans and went to start it and nothing happens, mileage pops up but no prndl. If I jump starter with a screwdriver it will crank and hit then die. I tried vats relearn, nothing. The truck has efi live and vats have been turned off. So i don't know how I could do the emergency relearn.

This happened to a friend of mine who had his truck parked at a bodyshop for six months, and after checking on everything he found that rats had chewed wires into under the fusebox.

If all the electrical checks out then try repriming the fuel system.

When the guy dropped it off I forgot him telling me that the gear display was very very dim so that is why I wasn't seeing the display, and as far as it not starting ended up being the shift cable was broke and wasn't returning to park completely on the trans. Lol dangdest thing!
