I lost 2 mpg per my DIC last week. Being the :witch: wife that I am, I asked my hubby if adding the down pipe and ram-air would hurt my mileage. His reply was it should make it better not hurt it. Then he tells me the inside of my right tire is wearing funny

:banghead: I guess, I forgot to tell him I hit a curb hard when picking up parts at a customers:eek:

Took my truck into the dealer today for an alignment and it was all out of whack. Now I got my 2 mpg back as far as I can tell :fluffy:

Thanks to Robert for the use of his internet while I waited

Dealership for an alignment huh? I take it this would be a very mod friendly dealership :)

The GM dealer told me they'd align my truck if I took the ladder bars and SD center link off (that would do a lot of good huh?) I took it to Ford and they did it for $15 on the condition that I'd take the mechanics for a ride.(They know quality when they see it:D) The only thing one of them will say is that thing is nuts.:nana::D

I get nailed over $100 a pop! This is before and after the lift. And I know they drive it before I come and pick it up. The last time (afer EFI) the guy said "It just wants to go, doesnt it?" with a smirk on his face. Good thing I had it turned down. :D Now I have to go again since I dropped the front end to get the front diff out. I got some beefy rods today so now its ready to get straightened again.....

Interesting, I knew it could affect milage but that is more than I suspected. Wish we had a decent alignment place here in town.

I use Firestone...Approx. $170 for lifetime alignment...Do it twice and you break even, any more and you're ahead...

That is a good deal. But, it's all good. Actually can walk into this dealer and don't have to be worried about being talked down to because I'm girl. When I go most dealers I get the run around and most times I get so pissed I make Pat go

Firestone left mine toed-out and my steering wheel was off to the right. I went back an called them out on it and they tried to blame it on the new idler, pitman, cognito braces and sleeves i'd but on. Never again.... My local shop had it fixed in less than an hour.
