So ive got a viper 560xv in the truck currently but its only a 1 way remote. is there a way to upgrade to a 2 way paging remote without changing the whole system out? the 791xv looks damn similar but has the 2 way remote. Is there ways to upgrade systems?

Not that I am aware of because the internal circuitry will be different as one will also have a transponder in it to send the signal back to you. This would be a costly feature to just throw into every unit but only utilize and charge for it on 2-way models. Plus, once word got out everyone would just buy that one and then buy a two way remote off eBay or something.

very true but what im wondering is if i can just upgrade the "brain" and remotes or am i gunna have to tear everything out and start over?

Oh, yes then... Most of the time... Pretty much what they do is design a line of alarm systems and accy to go with them and to make it more cost effective they design the accy to be universal between the models in that same line.
Look at it this way... You want the two way feature.... So just buy a two way unit and if the plugs match then awesome... if not then I guess your truck is getting updated electronics. LOL!
I guess to be sure though you can always call DEI and ask. Their support is pretty solid from what I can remember.
