AL5 part throttle downshift ?'s

Well i was adjusting my trans tune to try and make it downshift more aggressively in T/H to aid the turbine brake but it seems to be having no effect


i increased part throttle downshift speeds from 0-6.8 TPS 40+% and nothing i even turned it up more just to be sure and still nothing. does this table only function under throttle or something? if so why is there 0 TPS cells?

p.s. i know there is/was a problem with columns labeled wrong but im not sure if that still applies or what columns are what so i changed it in columns b-d

yes those tables....they why does it say part throttle downshift...wot has its own tables?

example cruising at 50mph... is 5th gear.. part throttle say 50-75%%tps not WOT it would drop to 4th

but if you mat it 100% tps... it would drop to 3rd at same mph.

understood....but like there are cells for even extremely low throttle positions...you would think if they were there that the 0 tps would be coasting downshift...but whatever i suppose.


are there any tables that do what im looking for? im assuming not but i guess it cant hurt to ask

iirc i was able to get it to downshift sooner... when slowing down...

cant remeber how.. though

bump....anyone know if what im doing is possible and if so how to achieve it? doesnt look to me that there's any other tables to do this but maybe im missing something

I'm interested in the same thing too.
Also I found sometimes the turbo brake would work and other times it wouldn't.
any idea's?

I gave up do to suspected TCM issues and went back to stock, but still interested once I get the TCM straight
