Just after my new lift pump was installed it blew the fuse and I did not know it for a day or so. The pump is very quiet and so I came up with a remedy - wire in a small led light to the switched wiring. This way you will know when it has switched power or not. I did not want to run 2 small wires into the cab or drill yet another hole into my dash. Since the wiring harness was already zip tied to the hood/fender support I just tapped into the red switched wire and then drilled a hole in the fake black hood vent. Behind the Duramax logo are 2 small screws that need to be removed if you plan on taking the cover off to secure the led light to the plastic. Here are 2 pictures that show even in bright day light you can still see when the led light is off/on. I turned it to the side just a little so that at night I will not have a light shining directly into my eyes while driving.
