BD Diesel is now making a Duramax air shutoff valve. I got an email about it, but the link doesn't copy.

When you need an emergency engine shutdown system, then BD has the solution that is hard to PASs up. Some industries such as mining, oil refinery, forestry, mobile welding, septic removal and refueling require some vehicles to have an emergency engine shutdown in place. The most effective method for this is to cut the air supply to the Diesel engine ensuring fuel ignition to cease. With BD’s Positive Air Shutdown (PAS), an inline butterfly valve is placed in the air intake line and when activated by its heavy duty electrical solenoid, the engine will shutdown within seconds.
Standard applications include over-speed electronics and CAC pipes included for some vehicles. The PAS butterfly valve design reduces the number of parts and the overall size as compared to competitive units. Aluminum and stainless components plus weatherproof electrical connectors are used to prevent corrosion. Easy installation with no welding needed for hose retaining beads by utilizing innovative bead boot locks.

Looks nice, but the inlet looks small (but there is really nothing to compare it to). Any idea on the ID of that?
With Casper, we use Halon injection, but I don't think it's "approved" for sledpulling. A 10lb Halon bottle is plumbed into the boosted air side of the inlet.
No, Halon is like CO2 but safer and more effective. The EPA doesn't appreciate it much though. It's a cloroflourohydrocarbon? CFC.
My mistake. Basically an oxygen suppressant without the mess. Any reason they wouldn't approve of it in sled pulling? Other than the fact they don't like lines running into the engine that could be nitrous?
I was looking at that on there site I will be needing one. So I'm assuming it comes with the wire and switch to run to the rear of the truck? Anyone have a price on one?
I have had one of those for a long time now...Except my LMM came factory with it and with a little wiring modification and efi it works perfect, shuts the truck right down
Yes, and a C5/C6 Corvette throttle body will do the same, and is much larger ID.
