Help: air intake heater

does the air intake heater on a cold night cause my alternator and batterie to stay below 12 volt for about 45 sec. that cause my remote start not to run

nope.....thats your glowplugs I think, unless I set the wrong tables for my IAH wrong.

x2 glow plugs, mine are off right now and it jumps right to 13.9 @ idle, i dont have a iah either, but it still delayed with that out and glow plugs on

but you will see the huge restriction the IAH makes when its on it.....if you take if off.

My remote start delays until the glowplugs have cycled & then it starts.
The voltage does the same thing takes about 20-30 seconds to jump up 13+

its your IAH keeping the volts down after you start the truck. i still run the glow plugs but no IAH and no voltage drop in the winter.

I am interested in determining if there is a program charging delay under some circumstances. If that voltage stays depressed with higher idle speed, I believe that may be causing your observation.

when my glow pug relay stuck on voltage would stay @ 13.0 until I unplugged it then it shot to 14.2
