I am looking at Air Lift Load Lifter 5000 Ultimate Plus for my 2015.5 GMC 2500HD to haul a 5th wheel toy hauler that will weigh around 13000 lbs dry. Are these kits any good? I like the fact that this kit has stainless hardware for us northern guys. I do have the B&W turnover hitch in the bed I need to miss with air bag hardware though.

I have them on my 06 and have not had any issues with them. I also have the Smartair system that automatically levels the truck when you put a load in it and I absolutely love that part of it.

Had them on my 03, and now my 15.5 as well. Very happy with them.

Just keep in mind that only the Ultimate Plus+ kits come with all stainless components. Much pricier than the other LoadLifter 5000 kits, but worth it if your in the rust belt like you mentioned.

I've been using Air Lift bags for many years and I highly recommend them.

How does it ride empty?

Like a truck! LOL!

No seriously, I run five PSI when empty. If it affects the ride at all, it's minimal. Possibly a tab stiffer, but barely noticeable.

The trade off, for the improved feeling while towing heavy, is definitely worth it.
