The old 641 Ford is due for some new rear rubber, we have run turf tires on it for years but I think it is time to go back to a directional ag tire.

I went out and priced some at the local new Holland dealer and they wont sell blems and 1100 bucks for 2 tires is ridiculous, ast blems I purchased at our old supplier were 225 a tire on blems. 13.6X28 is what we run but we have flexability in sizing. The place we used to buy our tractor tires has gone under so we are left with only the big dealers around here.

I there anywhere yall recommend? Any recommendations? The tractor is just a brush hogger and pulls the accumulator or conveyer. I just feel we need more traction than the turf tire can provide.

I use the Michelin's on my Row crop tractors and really like the wear and traction I get out of them.

I just put a set of BKT 13.6 x 24 tires on my Ford 2000 last fall. About a grand installed and fluid filled. I like them so far. Russian made IIRC

The off road tire tariffs put in place on a few Chinese tire companies in 2008 totally messed up tractor tire pricing.

The cheapest mail order on that size is going to be what, 800, plus or minus a hundred? Shipping, install and fluid, and a grand sounds about right....

How about a set of chains. ;)

Thanks all. I have considered chains but the dry rot on the left drive tire is just too much. The rim is nearly rusted through and inhave new rims but i knownthese tires cant handle a dismount and remount. Its a shame the right rear is less than two years old bfgoodrich but i need more grab, i used a set of chains while mowing some extreme angle terrace (flood plain behind a large water shed) without them the tractor would just slide ways gradually in every revolution mounted the chain and it did great till... The tire rolled out of the chain no matter what i did the extreme side load would pop them off. I ran about 300 lbs of hangers along the bottom of the axle fender mounts but it just needs more dig. Our 861 ford with ag tires was not having near the issues i was on the 641z

Hell even some 70-90% tires would be fine i just fill them with holes anyway with the brush hog. I was affraid the price i found on new would be about right i was just thinkin yall might know a secret cheaper smarter route.

Btw im in just north of topeka
