Why are we seeing aftermarket turbos coming up for sale fairly often in the various forums. Are the aftermarekt turbos not living up to expectations? What are the reasons for the constant upgrades and why not just buy one and stick with it, after all we have the best tuning tools available to us :D What turbos are ya'll running that you would recommend to the rest of us who are on the fence and about ready to buy? Aurora?, Htt, etc.....

is there a turbo out there that will clean up the smoke in my avatar, without additional tuning? :baby:

ya the GT 1000:D

you put a turbo on and get the feel for power....WOW i like this, then you think HMM that was a good mod,but i still want a little more

you then discuss and beg the wife.....and she says do whateva the hell you want:eek: you then sell your turbo and go bigger, now you dont have enough fuel....back to wife, with gifts from the shiney gods and tell her this is the last thing....you add more fuel and blow the crap out of the motor,,,,you then sell your turbo and get a pedal bike:D

if your not towing go big! the first time

Turbos bring out my feminine side.

I have a turbo for formal occasions,
one that matches my eyes,
two to go to work in,
a special one when I'm feeling wild,
a couple I bought but haven't found the right shoes to go with them yet...

:D

Seriously, or somewhat. The most important thing I see, is getting away from the T3 ped and moving up to the T4. Drive pressure kills pistons. Some big (2") custom riser pipes couldn't hurt either. I spoke to a Dmax engine builder today who is running a smaller 2.8 charger on a T4 housing. He/She said it spools faster and makes more power than the 3.0 charger he/she was running (credible source). 1,400 max egt's. So, where should we go? Twins? I'm Not convenced yet. We are alway's so concerned about intake flow and frequently forget about the exhaust side of the charger. When heated air packs up against the charger it get's hotter. (egt's). Efficiency applies to both sides of boost maker.

after installing the HTT and BD pedistal, my drive pressure dropped in 1/2 or more and it spools very very easy
the HTT would be a great choice over a stock turbo, I honestly think that its better for your truck than the stocker:eek:
2" up pipes would be nice a t4 and headers, also getting rid of the puny stock down pipe

larry, if and when you decide on a turbo....keep in mind your love for smoke;):D
