been looking at cars lately, something for commuting and little better mpg, keep some miles off my truck. diesel where i live is 4.95 a gallon!
anyway, found a 2003 cadillac cts, with the 3.2L v6, 65,000 miles. $8000. super clean, great condition, etc. has anyone had any experience with these cars? reliable? easy to work on? how exspensive for parts and such? any help would be appreciated.

what problems have you had/heard off? ive talked to a few guys, they loved them, but have read mixed reviews online.

My buddys cts has had alot of electrical issues tank reading empty when he just filled up, and tranny problems (shift soleniods) I mean every car has its issues but my cuz ownes a used car dealership and says there always at the auction for cheap money but with alot of probs! Also stay clear of the volvo xc90 from 2004 and older crap loads of probs with those also my wife ownes an 2007 xc90 sport with no issues:thumb:

I bought a cav Z24 with a 5 speed and put a motor in it for 800 total, gets 26 mgp in town with me beating on it and will get 32 hwy if im good :roflmao: Get something with the GM 3800 motor park ave, grand prix impalla, buick regal that engine will run 300,000 if you take care of them just make sure the plenium or intake gaskest arent leaking.I took our 97 grad prix with 200,000 on to Tenn last year 31 mpg on the hwy hand calc

Not the cts, oil burning pos engines! Get a civic or cavalier or something cheap like that. A vw tdi would be best for fuel mileage but not near as cheap to purchase or maintain.

I bough a 99 chevy tracker for $500 had to put a new clutch in it other than that it was in great shape. Has 205xxx miles on it and runs great, I been getting 28-30 mpg out of it and it's 4wd. It's a great little suv and beats driving my truck to the coal mine. My wife also has a grand am with the 3800 in it and they are great motors and get good mileage
