Anyone here advertise on Facebook? We have a facebook page, and were thinking about using Facebook as just another mean of advertising. However, Facebook does not explain very well how it works. I understand you can do a per click, or you can determind a budget amount, for a set amount of time. But they don't explain what it does! I mean does it work like the forums, and it gives you an "X" amount of banner rotations? If so, whats the break down of rotations? Like does $100 for 30 days give me 100 or 10,000 rotations? So if anyone has any experience with this, please share!!

Thanks in advance!

As a facebook user I can honestly say I block as much ads as I physically can but, I will click on friends suggesting pages etc.

Logical? No, but I hate ads. I would try to get your FB page out there more.

I have tried it. Its very random and the the likes you get are not really a target audience.
The best thing to do is ask people questions, take polls, and put useful tips up for people.
Shares are the best way to get good people interested in the company and what you are doing.
Then of coarse you can do the giveaways for 500 likes 1000 likes etc. They always are good for 75 or 100 likes.

I'm not a fan of ad's my self, however, I do click on companies I'm interested in hearing if and when they have sales, deals, or specials. There are 3 different ones to choose from when you want to get your name out there. I'm a firm believer that I'm only going to advertise on FB when I have good reason too.

Yeah, I did a giveaway at the 300th like, but it took a while...LOL I'm thinking doing a ad to promote the page, then do smaller ones where I need them. I would thing by now the page should be over 1000+ likes, and we've been sitting on 317 for a few weeks now. Which is why I'm trying to stimulate it! I'm also useing QR Codes as well when I can.

While at TS, I plan on posting pictures from the event, and in the Powerflow Pit's, maybe that'll help the likes too... Thanks for the info everyone, really helps.
