I have a little hesitant/stutter shift during WOT 3-4 that has never quite learned itself out. It seems like it runs up to the shift point, hesitates a little, then makes the shift and then locks the converter again (or something to that nature). 2 distinct grabs plus a loss of acceleration.
maybe it's a slight tie up on the off going clutch, i'm not sure. I dont know, enlighten me!
Trans has 8000 miles on it since the build all other shifts are spot on. No issues other than traction with these worn out coopers.
so...I was thinking that I might be able to drop or raise the shift point a mph or 2 just to see the effects during this shift. I'm sure a log would help but I don't have my PID's for the trans set up correctly.
on the upshifts, does mph take precedence over rpm or is it whichever comes first? I'm assuming that since I have taller tires and the speedo was callibrated that the mph will come first unless I'm not putting 2 and 2 together.
what is the proper way to do this? tips/tricks?
I don't want to change anything until I better understand how it works.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
