Purchased my used zf6 truck as a work truck. Being a work truck it wasnt equipped with cruise control, curious how difficult it would be to add this? Its a 2001 lb7.
I know 03+ drive by wire gassers you just need the new stick and get a reflash on the bcm. Is it that easy on ours?
Also curious id there is any other way of adding high idle with out cruise control?

Thanks

High idle will need a switch IIRC as you cant use the cruise switch like the 03 and up

cruise is a matter of stick swap and a BCM flash as well

The BCM plays NO part in the cruise working for an 01-02. Mine worked just fine with no BCM even in my BURB. You will most likely have to run the wires to the ECM as I don't know if they will be in the connector at the column or not in a work truck. And the crusie switch is part of the multifunction switch I believe, so hang on when you get a price for it. Heres the directions on how to hook up the fast idle and make it work for an LB7. For the cruise you will need the switch, and you may or may not need to run the 3 wires to the ECM from the column connector.
