well looks like another one bites the dust . we pulled the glow plugs # 6 was wet . pulled the tcb batt fuse and turned it over . it blew out moisture and looked to be dexcool . then we removed valvecovers and pulled #6 injector and the cup stayed , so now looks like a headgasket issue . Now Im not sure if I wanna change the gasket in the truck or put it back together as is and just rebuild the Lb7 I have torn down in the garage :baby:

could be a cup issue? thats the problem im having,

the gaskets look to me like they would blow between clyinders,
drain coolant and try and remove sleeve? you may find something weird?

Could be either a head gasket or a cup. When i blew a head gasket all the cylinders on one bank were wet. But if the cup stayed i would guess head gasket as well.

Craig, I'd pull the cup, if you're that far, and look at it. Reseal and install it then test. May save you some time.

update : we put the injector back in and everything back together . I didnt have the cup tool to remove it and check that so we just reinstalled everything installed new seals (?) on return lines , new copper washer under injector and injector O-ring ( it was torn) . So far truck is running pretty good . The upper radiator hose hasnt been firm yet , but its still early to tell if its still loosing coolant . I have decided to go ahead and build the motor I have in the garage
