Add Cruise Control

I wasn't sure where this should go...please move it if it's not in the right place.

I bought an '06 Express 2500 Duramax work van. It doesn't have cruise control. If I get a cruise stalk, is the associated wiring and programming already in the BCM/TCM, or is there more to be done?

My 02 reg cab didn't have cruise originally, all I did was get a directional lever with cruise plug it in & worked fine
I'd just get a lever & try it

Hmm I'm going to have to try this! I just bought a 04' Regular cab 6.0l that doesn't have cruise and have a 03' parts truck that does...

Just added cruise to my 04' 2500hd with 6.0l today and it worked like a charm! :woott:

Probably took about 2hrs to remove from donor truck and install in 04', but could probably do in about an hour now that I did it already. Fuse was even in fuse box already.

LBZ ecm cruise control used 4 grounded circuits used them on my 99 C3500 HD needed couple momentary on switched and 3 pole(on/off/on) switch
