Lol, didn't the AC seats only come in the 2011 trucks? They've been out less than a year, there probably aren't many people who have taken them apart far enough to see how they work.

If someone wants to give me the GM Techline update disc to bring me from 2005 to 2011, I'll look through the diagrams and let you know what the deal is!

I had a Lincoln Navigator that had them , it was done with alot of "micro" holes in the leather and air vent hooked into the AC system , i think even if you didnt have AC but had independent blower motors for each seat and some ducting it would be enough.

wow ac seats......i have 02 and jelous of the 03 dash controls...........
Yeah, the '03 dash & electrical upgrades are pretty sweet, IMO. I still prefer the '06 dash to the new one, but that's just me.

Lol, if someone finds a way to retrofit the AC seats to the '03 I'll be in heaven!

I actually thought about routing my rear AC ducts into the seats and seeing how it worked. I'm just not sold on putting holes in my leather

easy. There were GMT-800 applications with cooled/AC seats you know.. ;)

04-06 "platinum edition" Escalades had cooled seats. Bolt them in, plug them in and away you go.

Just wait a few more thousand miles and the "leather" will crack and split enough on its own.

Tom the leather in the Escalades and Denali's is actually a lot nicer, believe it or not. I have a couple friends with deanli's and the leather is holding up much much better (and is much smoother/softer/'silkier') than the Tahoe/burban/silverado/sierra 'non-luxury' leather seats.

O, IC. I guess I never could figure out the need for cooled seats. Heated seats, completely understandable, esp up north. Maybe its a southern thing??

I mean, I guess if you have a problem with your butt sweating, cooled seats would work, but there are products out there that can help, too. I had this quick thought about Ratlover's old "Anti-Monkey Butt" powder avatar. That stuff is still sold at TSC.

Honestly, I have no complaints about the factory leather. I finally had to replace a patch that split open after 245,000 miles / 7,500 hours. Didn't even cost that much to fix. I've never had a cloth seat last that long without coming apart either.

But one day, I'll see if I can grab the interior out of one of those Cadillacs, that's pretty trick. I like the 2-tone coloring too. Man, now I want an Escalade Platinum for parts, is that wrong? :spit:

Have you ever had to get in a vehicle with leather seats that has been siting in direct sun?!? That stuff can peel your skin off. When it gets above 100 F outside, I start my truck a good 2 minutes before getting in so I don't melt my ass off!

With a little imagination and some flex hoses from LMC for an old blazer/pickup you could tie into the ducts in the console for the rear ac vents and run them under the seat, get a few of the 12 volt high volumn computer fans point them up and there ya go. The seats we are putting in Blackie are from Superior Seating, they build all the seats for the F650 custom trucks, Astro vans and RV's from air ride to heat and AC. The ones we are using have AC, Heat, 6 way power, power Lumbar and the 6way full massager, intergrated seat belts and leather. Does everything but ,well you know:happy2:
