ac delete pully doesn't line up

I recently ordered an ac delete pully and installed it on my truck. On first fire up i thought the new delete wheel bearing was squeaking. After a few days I looked closer to see that the new pully isn't inline with the hydroboost/powersteering pump pully. The ac delete wheel sits back farther toward the cab an easy 3/32" there is an obvious gap. I used the correct spacers that go around the bolts in the delete bracket holes. I even loosened the bolts and tapped it forward to make sure I had all slop forward. Then I found a thread on some forum about a service bulletin, it said something like 04 and 05 having improperly machined ac and powersteering pump bracket? Just weird it didn't squeak before and now it does. You hit the belt with wd40 and it shuts up. I checked spacing on the pulley by laying a level across them. I would say maybe Ps pump pully might not be pressed on all the way but it seems to be on there flush to the shaft. Any info or tips on the situation?

Can you just washer it out to match?

That was the plan but it's gonna take drilling one out which isn't a big deal, tried a few different ones today. I can make something work i was just wondering if I could find the cause of the problem first instead of bandaiding it. Thinking maybe I missed something obvious but who knows.

And the farther I washer it out the less the bearing rides on the shaft, it's pretty much flush I think. So any spacing will space the bearing past flush I believe, id have to double check that first though to be sure.

It also looks like the bearing is centered on the wheel, so I don't think it could be on backwards spacing the wheel the wrong way.

I think on the pulling truck we ended up putting a washer behind the pulley..

Turned the wheel around backward, same gap same squeak, I am a little worried about shimming it out, the bearing does ride flush with the end of the shaft. I don't want half the bearing hanging off the shaft. I don't know now.

The belt looks like it rides in the middle of the smooth fan pully, leads me to believe it is the delete pully. And it didn't squeak before when it had the ac compressor. I just don't wanna "rig" up something I bought new, if it is the delete pully that's the problem. If the bearing wouldn't ride out off of the shaft that's what I would do.

If i shim it i might try to make a spacer I can slide on the bolt the same size as the shaft so the bearing can at least ride on that. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't something stupid I was over looking.

Did you guys use a flat washer or a lock washer? If i use a flat washer that will be small enough to not hit the wheel I have to drill out the hole to fit around the shaft.

Mine worked fine on my lmm. IIRC they are for vans that had an option for no ac but don't quote me on that.

I was wondering if it was just a quality issue with the bracket or Something else going on, wondering if getting it replaced would help or not.

Used one on my lbz swap with the supplied spacer and lined up great.
You might just be that unlucky

See the thing is I didn't know that spacer was supplied, just dug through the bag of extra bolts and spacers it came with and found it, thank god I kept that stuff. Seem to be missing the simple things lately:smart:

Let you guys know tomorrow lmao
