My uncle has a 04.5 dmax that is completely stock it has the auto climate and he says the driver side will sometimes start to blow hot and if he shuts it off. It will occasionally start working again any idea what issues he might have? Thanks James

Huh, I was just about to ask the same thing.
I don't have the auto climate, but mine is doing it too on the dual climate control. But on mine the pass. side is the one blowing hot.

the temp actuators stick/ they get wore out and will go past there limits and stick in the hot or cold position.
you have to replace them and the drivers temp actuator is on the passenger side under the dash. take the kick panel off and its towards the middle on the bottum of the hvac case. then you need someone with a tech to calibrate or you can disconnect the battery and touch the leads together to clear the system
you can pull the kick panel off and look at the actuator, move your left side temp to cold and back to hot or viceversa and see if it moves as commanded!
you either need the tech 2 or there is a procedure to do it without the tech 2. disconnecting the battery cables is not it.
