A40 Full Flash Support?

I read in the newsletter that the AL5 and A40 updates are to be released in the next software update via EFI Lives website but not sure about full flashing the A40.

Yes. Full flashing will be supported in our next V8 software release. It will ONLY be available in V8, it has not been added, and will not be added to V7 software.
For most customers, adding full flashing for the A40 at this point is of no benefit. That will not change until the planned changes to modify the read options to allow both the current option of a calibration only read, and a new option to 'read entire' come into effect.
The changes required to add multiple 'read' options are significant - we've never had the need previously for multiple read options, and given the time required for a 'read entire' that cannot be substituted for the calibration only read option.

Next release is scheduled within the next 2 weeks. It's currently in it's 4th round of build testing.

Just remember, only useful in the next release IF you have 3rd party read tools, otherwise you will need to wait for FULL reading to be added....which is a major rework to add multiple reading options.

That ability will be in the next release. But that release WILL NOT provide you with the tools to obtain a full read.
That function requires time consuming development. When it takes one hour to perform the full read and then you need refinements or fixes in development software, not many tests can be performed in one day.

2010 onwards uses the A50 controller, reading and full flashing will also be in our next release. Calibration testing is almost ready for beta software.
