A theoretical boost vs. timing question

Without going into specific tuning info, what are the relationships between these two parameters. How does one affect the other during combustion?

I read a comment from Nick that he likes his Timing table to follow his boost table

Ive never tried this personally,but it has also got me thinking I think he was just giving a brief bit of advice though

Personally I just build the timing tables from scratch,I dont worry about numbers just as long as it works good

I start with low end and spooling then WOT then midrange

I watch EGTS and concentrate on shifting if it drops on shifts at WOT i adjust the timing

It takes me forever because i do 1/2 degree increments but its SOOOO worth it when its works
