... for my wife's truck. She decided that she wanted to give it a little femininity so I painted her bowtie the chosen color of purple.

I cleaned it with windex, then taped off the black trim piece, then scuffed the smoothness off with scotch pads, hit it with 2 coats of primer made for plastics that is supposed to allow regular enamel paint to stick to plastic pieces, then hit it with 3 coats of color enamel followed by 3 coats of clear gloss enamel. Hopefully it stands up to the bugs at 70mph!
