My 1 1/2 yr old nephew pulled a pot of boiling water down from the counter top 2 days ago and received 2nd degree burns from his shoulder to his wrist on his right arm. BE CAREFUL with the kids! They can get hurt so easily. I am also a burn victim from my youth. I had 28 % burns all over my body from a dry gas spill that was ignited.Be Careful as we take so much for granted.:(

Hope he's ok. He should be alright...kids are pretty resilient.

Our son burned his right hand on the door of the stove when he was about the same age. No ill effects other than it turned him into a lefty.
Bright side is now he's ambidextrous.

Hope he's OK!

I pulled my moms' curling iron off of her dresser when I was 2. Burned the hell out of my right arm. Still have the scar to prove it. :(

It's amazing what the plastic surgeons can do with skin grafts nowadays. As long as you keep his spirits up, which it sounds like you are, he will come out of the accident as strong as before it happened. Those guys just don't make eye magnets, they also help put people's lives back together. My prayers are with your nephew and family...

I appreciate the reality check. My wife and I just had a girl in October, and I try to protect her from everything. But this will make me much more cautious for her sake.

I hope He makes a full recovery, and I hope the fam is doing ok too.
