Greetings to all, A newbie here from CT. and thank you all for any info you may have to my future ques, To me the dumbest question is the question NOT asked. I'll have a few of them as time goes on. I just bought a 06 GMC sierra 350, 130k, Allison 1000 6speed, 2nd owner, dually to pull a 5th wheel trailer. What does LLY and LBZ mean? I have a LBZ motor. I'm am almost done in changing all the fluids, not knowing when this was last done, I would do it now and know. I am still on the 1st tank of fuel and have noticed what I think to be a low fuel mileage avg. at 12 mpg, I haven't pulled the trailer yet and most of the mileage so far have been highway. Does that seem low or is that avg for this motor? If low, how can I improve it? filter was just changed as well.

Welcome!
Tons of info here.
LBZ & LLY are just different engine models. There are LB7, LLY, LBZ, LMM & last but not least the newest version LML.

Not sure on the mileage for a Dually? 12 seems a touch low. City driving mostly?

Welcome! On the home page click on where your avatar or picture would be. Your control panel should show up on the left I believe and you can setup everything from there

Welcome to DD, the only fluid left to change on mine is the power steering/hydraboost fluid. The radiator coolant/dexacool is good for a max of 5 years 100,000 miles. My fuel mileage isn't the greatest either still working on that. I do keep the motor RPM to no less than 1500 RPM and no overdrive in town (use manual mode in town) that may have something to do with it.

The LBZ motor is the last motor before the DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) was installed, although the LBZ does have some emissions equipment, EGR, Catalytic converter and a few others things in the ECM.

I did find one issue on Saturday you may want to check on the lower radiator hose. Pictures attached
