Driving around provo the other day with 5 people in my truck I saw this cummins billowing smoke as it was just casually driving around. I caught up to him and toyed with him for a bit till he started following me to some back roads. We stopped and talked for a minute and we decided to race. The girl in his truck said "You don't wanna race this! You will get trashed!" I responded, "it will be fun and if I lose I lose". so we pulled onto a good back road and I decided to go all out and do a 4WD boosted launch just to be safe.
I got a solid jump on him and pulled strong on him for a while. he started catching up but the road was coming to the end so we let up. when we stopped he asked me what I had done to my truck and asked what turbo I had put on! I told him it was a stock turbo and a stock trans. He was a bit surprised. he claimed to have dyno'd 450 hp with plugged fuel and air filters and thought his was over 500 hp. I felt pretty good after considering I was running a tow tune that doesn't really smoke!:happy2:
