Yeah...we got it all on camera, but I didn't want to share anything too graphic... found the bones of that little deer about three days later right under a big cedar next to the feeder. I've only seen the cat once more, and couldn't get a shot.

They are interesting creatures. I came home from work one day to find one sitting under the front kitchen window. BIG F'r! I didn't even see it at first. It was sitting under some bushes next to my front door, and as I went inside I caught it move out of the corner of my eye. Second guessing myself I went around the house back to the street to get a "for sure" look. It just hunched under the bushes staring at me. I called animal control and they wanted me to shoo it away by throwing rocks at it..

Mind you, I live in the city. There is a small mountain park near by, but it would've had to cross at least 6 lanes of busy traffic, through a neighbor hood, and into my cul-de-sac in the middle of the day...

Fortunately this one was frozen perfectly still. I buzzed the tower with a few rocks, but it never budged. :D

Her first suggestion was to try and approach it and scare it off. Where it was positioned it was kinda in a corner, so I would've just had it pinned down. Didn't feel like having a wild cat attack me because it thought I was trying to corner it...

I just left it there. It took off on it's own.

Definitely big for a bobcat.. nice pics. I shot one 4 times about half that size.

Of course that doesn't say much for my marksmanship either :)

Well, I know it will shake you up when you see one, so I wouldn't call it a strike against your marksmanship, just "cat fever"...
