have a 2001 dmax long story short i did my axle seal got every thing back to gather pulled it out of my drive way and it stalled.cranked it for 5sec still nothing, i cracked the bleeder screw on the fuel filter case thing, its right next to the primer. i have fuel, and i have alittle smoke roling out of the exhaust, i crank it for 5 to 10sec. nothing so i hoke up the soliste scaner it comes up with lost comm. with injector pump modual. (i checked all fueses and all are fine). note that the injectors were replaced about 2 years ago. oo and one more thing i had a problem of it just going to idle on the freeway but dignosed that problem as a tps sensor. could be related or unrelated just thought it might help. this is my dd so i do need it asap.
thanks in advance (i also took all tuners off.)

Well, usually when your truck won't run right after you've worked on it, it's related.

Did you disconnect any wiring at all?

It sure sounds like fuel starvation though. Keep the bleed screw closed, and pump the plunger until it's really hard, then try again. Repeat process a couple times.

That code is pretty rare. You didn't mess with any grounds, the bale connector, battery terminals, or FICM (Fuel Injection Control Module)?

no none of them. what the odds of the ficm being bad? im goin to test it tomarow. and check bale connectors

They do fail, but it's really not a common cause of running then dying. Odds are slim, but it could happen. If you really believe that's it, then buy one or swap with a buddy. Make sure it's '01. Not sure of compatibility with other years.

ok heres an update pulled ficm checked the 2 pink wires coming from the ingnition. it should be 12 but insted i got NOTHING. so i jumped the 2 pink wires to the battery and cranked it over, it started right up and drove fine. i have the votage coming from the ignition to the fuse block but no power coming out if the fuse block to the bale connectors. anything i should be aware of before taking the fuse block apart?
