In reading the 2012 rule book I think Casper falls into this category?

9.99 (*6.39) to 7.50 (*4.50 ) or any vehicle exceeding 135 mph:
Jacket and pants meeting SFI Spec 3.2A/5 and gloves meeting SFI
Spec 3.3/1 mandatory, except as noted above.

I am trying to figure out what I need to order or I can wear Pat's Santa suit

Yes, I know I haven't run a 9 yet.. But, it doesn't hurt to be prepared :D

You know me... I don't know the meaning of the word... I don't have to fix it if I break it :frog:

Hahahahahahahahahaha jeez kat. I let My GF drive my truck a few times recently. Needless to say she found the Dsp 5 switch and realized the truck had some ass if you figured that out. I told her if she breaks it she buys it. She said no. I showed her your post just now and about died laughing.

Haha yea I've heard about you driving miles truck when he first got it.
Id imagine my gf would drive my liLLY harder than me seeing as she hasn't put the heart, time, blood, sweat and money into her that I have.

I agree Chris! I've been on fire in the sprint car, and was wearing a three layer suit plus knomex hood and underwear. Everything happens in slow motion, and seeing all orange and keeping calm is hard to do. I would rather be over protected myself! You hit a wall and get knocked out, your suit and the fire crew are all your trusting. Personally I've seen how most fire crews react... Invest in good safety gear!!!

Hmmm...I dont think that hat is SFi rated, though. :roflmao:

Kat, Ive always thought women make better drivers than men. Something about "anger issues" and how women deal with it. I just wish I could get Roni to drive my truck at the track. She'd be awesome at it. Would beat my ass, thats for sure.

My problem is I just like to race for fun. I don't like to deal with the games some play :baby:

Kat you will need the correct shoes and neck brace as well.

Thanks Ken,

I have a shoes since there are easier for me to drive in and we have a neck brace.

We either need to get the 5 pt belts re certified or just buy a new one. I have been put in charge of safety equipment. I didn't see where a parachute has an exp. date.

Need to check the cert on the roll cage once Pat gets Casper out of the trailer.

Some of this is notes to myself as I suffer from CRS lately

Just to clarify, the SFI shoes aren't required until 7.50, but at 9.99 you do need gloves and the aforementioned neck brace (and SFI 3-2A/5 firesuit). One hassle with the SFI 3-2A/15 and higher suits is that they have an expiration date, whereas the /1 and /5 suits do not (at least at this time).
