Got a 93 chevy with a 350 in it and a 700r4 tranny. My question is can a 700r4 be build enough to hold up to pull weight. The truck problemy has a stock 200 hp and thats where its going to stay. But i need it to be able to pull my lil white chevy all around.

Yes it can be built to handle it, but I wouldn't reccomend it in OD. The 3-4 clutch pack is pretty weak in these even with a Z-PACK or equivelant. Go through it and do the bushings in it and put a wide 2-4 band and new drum in it with a BEAST sunshell, A Z-PACK in the 3-4, corvette servo for the 2nd, TRANSGO shift kit, and match it up with a good converter and you'll be fine. I built up a 4L60 E in a 93 2500LD that is putting down about 250-275HP with swirl port heads, but is making some killer torque for a small block. The stock built tranny didn't live long, but the built one has towed well over 10K in 3rd and is still going strong.

Blue Plate specials hold a bunch better than the stupid Z-Pac.

That's what I put into the one I did(3-4, direct, and over run witth HD's in the low and rev), but I was told the Z-PACK would work for most applications and was a pretty easy drop in without much shimming needed. I haven't built many, but I did learn that stock replacement BORG WARNER's wouldn't handle a built 350 for very long. It made a MESS out of the 3-4's in short order, of course a bad 3-4 apply piston didn't help.
