7.8L DPF delete - Anyone have any ideas?

Had a guy call the other day and talked about deleting the DPF on his Isuzu w/ 7.8L Duramax. Anyone heard of this being done?

Not to hard to delete the dpf , getting the ecm corected would be an issue . doubt efi suports it dont know of anything else .

Yeah, I understand that part, I was looking for Electronic tuning or Simulators...

This might be a tough one to crack but if you can find what the monitoring signal is, bet you can make a simulator.


OT... IF you physicaly get to look at it, would you kindly report back to us with what type of common rail pump is used:hug: IIRC its a Denso?

Thanks guys, it is not a local customer, so if I want to look, I'll have to go to the dealership.

Do you think GM would have a ECM for a Mining truck or out of country truck?

You would think so , but be hard to find . Pats idea sounds like your best bet on a previous year truck with no dpf .

Measure all resistance of the sensors and build a plug for it and simulate the resistance ... so the ECU/ECM doesn't see any error
