Aside from the brake switch on the pedal,

Is there another switch or valve that is in the trans that would cause a P0504?

for all intents and purposes, no. Pretty much guaranteed a bad brake pedal switch. Do you have an aftermarket trailer brake controller? That might also be causing something goofy.

Basically, the switch on the brake pedal has two separate switches. One is normally open (brake pedal released) and one is normally closed (brake pedal released). The ECM monitors both, and is constantly checking to make sure they are switching together....

brake switch has been replaced.

aftermarket lights/elec brake unhooked, code cleared and truck driven all day. Code keeps coming back

replaced multi function lever.

Went to dealer today. Parts seems to think theres another switch that might come into play.

Tech that would be running the tech2 said tech2 would only be able to give the code not the reason.
ME - I already have the code why pay you an hour labor to plug in if you can only give the code. Will you be able to tell me why code is there?

No. Yes

ME - I also need a steering wheel swapped. Mine doesnt have the buttons, and I have one with the buttons that I want installed and reprogrammed. How much to do that?

Thats not possible, I dont think we can do that.

I left without letting them touch it

you'll need a tech 2 to monitor stop lamp switch status and tcc/brake pedal switch status, to make sure they correlate correctly.

I dont know if EFILive can log/display brake pedal switch status or not???

These brake systems are really sensitive. I put LED tails in our 3500 savanna work van and the cruise would not work...couldn't figure it out so I put the old bulbs in and the cruise works. I called the truck body place and ended up having to wire something in before the lights to add a load so the cruise would work. BTW Ben sounds like he knows what he is talking about though.
