I have $6000.00 to spend on my truck. I just sold the Six Gun and will spend $4300.00 on the trans+ pump rub kit, and purchace EFI live with DSP 5 switch. I am planning on getting an Raptor lift pump installed. I was wandering if the Arson kit from Wicked Diesel is worth it or what mods I need to go with it. Help me out boys!!! Also where is the best place to buy the Lp.:D:D

as far as I know the "arson kit" is not available for the Duramax... Shane makes modified CP3's and regulators for the Duramax. Your stock CP3 should be good past 500hp unless it is REALLY warn out.

A Stage IV with a Precision Industries ML converter and pump rub fix would be $4250 out the door (taxes, shipping, core, labor, and synthetic fluid included), EFI Live with DSP5 would be $850, Raptor installed would be $475. That leaves you with $425 to do whatever CP3 upgrades you want - you can pick up a used LBZ/LMM pump for that, put an arson kit in your stock one, or keep the money and do the DIY mods on your stock one. With any CP3 upgrade you may need to have your tuning tweaked for it.

Call me stupid but Ive built quite a few trucks and Id buy tie rod sleeves and cognito braces before Id buy a CP3 upgrade. Also Id just buy an LBZ regulator for your cp3 as others have said you shouldnt need a new cp3 unless yours is toast.

He's got sleeves and centerlink in his sig - I was about to say the same thing. I agree on the CP3 though, LB7s have been into the 12.5s on a stock CP3 with just a lift pump.

How much for the lbz regulator and the arson kit. How much HP increase could I see with them??

Trent has (or had) some LBZ regulators for sale. That was suggested as an alternative to the arson kit. How much power you could get from them all depends on the rest of your setup. If you aren't limited by fuel at all and are holding plenty of rail pressure while giving your stock turbo all the fuel it can burn you won't gain much if anything. If you have an upgraded turbo or nitrous and/or your truck is starting to drop rail pressure before you are giving it all the fuel it could be burning - then it could make a huge difference. It just all depends on what your truck is in need of.

Shim your your FPRV or get the PPE race valve... Swiss cheese your air box too

He has an LB7 so you can't use a PPE race valve and shimming the FPRV is different than the LLY+ trucks.

I've got a brand new LBZ regulator here, was thinking about using it someday after modding it but I'll just mod the one that's in there. You can have it for a good price if you want to PM me, its ready to ship in a new unopened package with new bolts.
