Still an ugly GD truck and I would rather ride a donkey than own one.

My uncle absolutely HATED his 6.4, got 9mpg everywhere! He tried to trade it back for his '00 7.3, but it was already gone (his blood is furd blue). He got sick of it and I talked him into a brand new LMM, needless to say, he loves the thing, I'm so proud of him. I guess all the times he rode in my Dmaxs took a toll on him :D I doubt scorpion will have much better luck.

Quote from the article.... "The new 6.7-liter diesel engine will be manufactured in Mexico."

:D

Poor ford guys, 4 completely different engines to GM's one and it doesn't look like its going to get any better.

i rode in a 6.4L last week, its a pig, had no balls unless it shifted at 2700RPM and that wasnt even half throttle, got 12MPG stock unloaded and it sounded like a gas motor when you were sittin inside of it.

I myself hope that it turns out good just for the sake of diesels.....it seems not many people are buying them any more because of all the problems the 6.4 and cummins 6.7 are having. I really want to see diesels as an option in most vehicles and if no one buys them then no one is going to produce them anymore.

Ford is never going to learn. They should just go back to the 7.3, atleast that one stayed together.

Place i used to work made me ride in one of those for a couple of years:cry:, then the gave me a 6.0,:cry:, the 7.3 was defintely a better truck IMO, but years of fords made me hate them, i cant sit in one now without my skin crawling.

From the little bit of trolling ive done it seems like its mostly the emissions crap thats having the problems....people have been going through turbos like crazy and lots of egr crap

I've heard the same. One buddy of mine has had a loaner 3/4 ton Hemi for longer than he has driven his 08 6.7. Same issues-heads and emissions. He says the Hemi loaded up with a welder and all his gear isn't that great on fuel either, but it still is better on fuel than his 6.7 has ever been!!

My friend who has a 6.7 welded together almost all the plates in his trans, w/ just the edge. Did it in under 5k miles.
