6.0 gas tuning

I have a friend with a 03 VORTEC 6.0 that put a cam in, different ratio roller rockers, ported the mass airflow, and a few other little things. He gets missfire codes and a ck engine light, and he has asked me to help him if i can with efi live. Should i just turn off the codes or should we tune it for more power potential? Any body have a clue how to do this? Your help would be appreciated

tuning a gasser is a whole different game i am just learning with efilive as it is but i have been playing around with my buddies 08 5.3 and its been vary hard to tell if i have done anything at times good luck

Update- he used a lingenfelter cam with duration @.050- 207/220, valve lift .571/.578, centerline 118.5. He used gm aluminum heads with 10:1; casting #853 that he ported. It also has 1.8:1 ratio scorpion roller rockers, afe intake, basani 4" exhaust, banks 1 3/4" shorty headers.

I think the hot ticket to tuning a gasser is the wideband o2 sensor...
I'm kind of surprised he's getting mis-fire codes, as they are all coil packs on each individual plug, right?
Could the plugs need a new heat range (doubtful) or gapped wrong?

I suggest buying a wide band O2 sensor along with a serial cable to attach said sensor to your V2 and begin here. Works great!
