Looking for opinions/thoughts...what is a 2005 5500 worth?

Truck has 160k on it, it is pretty clean (no rust other than minimal amount on chassis, has 4x4, pintle hook, gooseneck hitch, aluminum flatbed (nice condition). Tires are fair and would pass inspection with no issue. What do you guys think?

Prices are all over the board on 4500-5500 chassis trucks around here and the 4X4 always bring a premium. Check truck trader,EBay etc to get a general idea. What are they asking for it?

Really really cheap, it needs a little bit of mechanical work but I'm thinking of flipping it. Would 15k be unrealisitc to sell it for once it is repaired?

No not at all, I bought mine at auction for what I felt was a good price and have 15k + in it and it's a 2WD LB7.. Most 05-07 4X4's I see selling around here are mid 20's to low 30's.

So maybe start @ 20k and go from there?

As they say "It's only worth what someone is willing to pay" ;)

Without seeing it, it's really hard to say but I personally haven't seen any 4X4 Kodiaks selling locally for under 20k (05 & up)
If you can pick it up cheap enough it sounds like a safe bet you could make some money on it.
