So i finally got my trans done and EFI on my truck. My goal is to get 500RWHP where i am at. I took her to the dyno today and got 454RWHP pretty happy with those numbers seeing how i am at 4500' in elevation :D. Would a 50HP shot of Nitrous be ok to run on my truck and safe to get me my 500RWHP numbers or should i go a different route???
Thanks,
Derek

There are some factors that come into play. What brand dyno, and what the correction settings are. If no correction, what was the true DA'. If the temp was above 70 deg, or the humidity is high, the DA is higher than the physical altitude.

I know we ran .5 seconds slower running in Colorado from a previous 2000' DA run, or over 10% of our HP.

This was on a dynojet and are uncorrected numbers. Run conditions are 80.98* F, 25.96 in-Hg, Humidity 17%. My top corrected numbers were 528RWHP but since i am not at sea level i cant really use those.

Did the sheet say: SAE CF = 1.05 or something similiar?
It's printed in the either header with the text sheets, or it's part of the MAX HP dialogue on the bottom or top of the graph sheet.

It says CF: UNCORRECTED Smoothing: 5

DOH!! OK, uncorrected.

To be honest, most people report corrected numbers. SAE is the most common, and STD is used as well. STD will yield higher numbers than SAE.

Just going off the top of my head, I'm thinking you are about 6500 DA. 25.96 is really low pressure.

Yeah i dont feel right about reporting corrected numbers its not my true HP here. Still think i could squeeze a little more out of my tune?

"Squeeze" is a nickname for the bottle. You can always "squeeze" some more HP :D

How much boost you running peak sustained? This also controls how much power a LB7 is capable of making. Some folk aren't comfy with running over 30psi with the IHI charger, since there have been failures starting at about 32psi, and nearly 100% of them fail at 40psi.

IMO, your sea level HP is going to be about 490-495 based on the info you posted.
