500HP & supporting gear

Hello all I know I will need a tranny and I plan on a suncoast IV very soon along with a lift pump or two but what else do I need to support 500 HP on my 06 LBZ its completly stock engine and tranny wise right now I have heard that you need to open your stock exhaust up to help with EGT's is this true?
if so what can I do I dont really want an aftermarket exhaust but will get one if I have to. What about just taking the muffler off the stock exhast is this legal is it loud or not much more than stock what about taking the cat off to do I need to let me know your opinions thans.

P.S Kat isn't wendy's exhaust straight piped does that mean there is no cat and muffler or what? is it still quiet or louder now thanks

Correct no cat or muffler. Wendy is not loud to me. But is a little louder then stock.

Thanks Kat, I guess it shouldnt be too hard to install some replacement pipe for the cat and muffler to see, I could always replace them if need be. now wheres the plasma cutter.
