Just put an MBRP DP along with a magnaflow 5" straight kit up in my Chevy...holy balls! I think I would rather do the pump rub kit again than mess with magnaflows sloppy ass pipework again. :angry5::banghead::rant:...the stock dp was as shitty as everyone said, but not the worst of it...3 of the pipes werent even opened up enough to couple. But, after lots of grinding, hammering and beer, it all went together. It def shouldnt have been that difficult. Kudos to MBRP though, their pipe pretty much mounted itself to the turbo. If I got a do-over, thinking I'd go with either MBRP or DE for the 5".
It does sound so bitchin though.

Very interesting, I had the exact opposite to say. Mbrp fit like crap and mahnaflow was a perfect fit. Goes to show you no two kits are alike. :D

Yeah, I guess different batches may have received better QC. Mine must have been the last one built on a Friday! It really was frustrating, but when I turned the key the first time...fkn amazing. Forgot all the struggle.

Every mbrp kit I get is beat to hell. Always have to take a hammer to the ends of pipes. Hangers rust instantly. But they have the best bends and fitment.

I had mbrp on the lmm for a while, fit like shit. I have flo pro on my lml, it went on perfectly, no fitment issues at all. Sucks you had to beat it on but that sounds worth the trouble...

My 5" Magnaflow was fine, I had a slip joint that got dinged during shipping but nothing the round end of a ballpeen couldn't fix!

I bolted on my mbrp in 20 minutes. Perfect, it was 4 inch though. Already had the old pipe cut off under the cab so it went pretty quick.

Flo-pros fitment is the best I've seen. MBRP is garbage. I won't even sell anything else for exhaust installs at the shop.

Mine fit great but every spring hanger has ripped off and had to be welded back on and braced... My truck is a pavement queen but the roads are fairly rough up here.

I was gonna get 5 inch so I was "allowed" to spend 350 400 ish on exhaust. Then I realized I could just get cheap 4 inch and a down pipe and still be in the budget. Never had a problem with the mbrp but only put about 30,000 miles on it with that exhaust. Went in good but was close to the tranny crossmember.

5" is overkill imop... But it sure sounds f-ing good with some twins howling through them.

My 5" is tight on the trans cross member and at the down pipe junction... Down pipe is my fault, should have dropped the down pipe a touch when I rebuilt it...

I like Flopro also. That's what I use unless someone specifies another brand.

sold my Flo pro to install the Magnaflow on my LMM, Flow pro tail section stuck way out before it curved in, Magnaflow came down and turned out right behind the tire and looks factory, My magnaflow went on like a charm, cut 13in off the mid pipe for a CCSB and everything slid into place all the hangers worked etc.

Is the lmm different or something because I've installed several magnaflow kits as well as a few mbrp on OBS and never had to cut anything for a ccsb

not to my knowledge, funny enough.. we installed a magnaflow on an LBZ and it was a paint but i dont remember why. The instructions just said to cut 13" off for short bed and that was it. I will say the Flo Pro muffler had less drone than maganflow but both drone horrible regardless, ordered an FTE for mine today

Mine has no drone at all, but then again I dont have dog ears. Just sounds pure awesome. I was thinking of flopro, but magna flo seemed just as good. The only complaints I have is that a few of the pipes needed some serious hammer work. The bends all seemed good, hangers all lined up, and hell, theres even an extra hanger!? I dont get it, but wtf. Their welds were raw, had to spray em with some cold galv to make sure they dont rust. And instead of buying a hundred doller fancy black tip, I spent $10 on a can of header paint...looks bitchin.
