Does anyone know if exhaust brakes are available for 5" pipes?
I mean real 5" brakes, not ones that use adapters to step the piping down to fit a 4" brake. I want 5" in and out of the brake.

I looked but couldn't find anything. Lots of options for 4" stuff though. A 4" would be ok if it was a knifegate style so when it's not in use, it doesn't restrict flow like a butterfly style does but I haven't found any of those either.

I know the banks (which is what I have) Is butterfly. But it's default is open. So it doesn't restrict if it's off or a fuse blows. Which has happened to me. But I have an LB7.

So far all I have found is butterfly. But just that piece in the exhaust is restrictive even when open. What I would like to do is get a 5" so the housing is bigger to compensate for the loss of space from the butterfly. Maybe the restriction is a bit minor, and maybe nothing to worry about, but it is a restriction none the less in my eyes that I want to minimize.

Have you looked into the banks speedbrake. It's supposed to be all electic. I don't know anything about it. Just started to look into it. Here is the web-site.

That only works with stock turbo trucks LLY model and up. I don't have a vvt anymore.

FYI one can do pretty much the same thing with EFI. I had it tuned this way with my stock turbo and it worked awesome!!
