Is this a headgasket already or something else? Maybe valvecover? It seems to be oil to me..... Either way it sucks. I've found quite a bit of "jimmy'd" work done with the rebuild. It appears my pyro nipple got stripped when they put it back in also.... I can just wiggle it around in there!

Maybe lifts arent good for front diffs?

I guess all I'm really looking for is a place to vent and some advice on what you guys think is leaking all over my head.........

well as for the pyro,I can send you a new 1/8"npt fitting to go into the exhaust manifold if you think that would help?

as for the front axle seal,i just did mine at 60,000 miles EASY AND CHEAP!

hard to tell from the picture as for the other leak, try washing the motor up good and keep a close eye on the leak

Did you try tightening the pyro? When I switched over to Autometer gauges from Edge the probe was in there like you described, took it out with my fingers.

Thanks for the offer Simon! What I think I'm going to do with the pyro is just re-tap the threads on the manifold and put a really short bolt in it to seal it up. I'll put my pyro over on the drivers side in the BD manifold where it probablly should be.

The front diff is gonna have to come out to put an E-locker in it anyway.

Any suggestions on how to clean something like that on the side of the block? I dont really want to run my pressure-washer in there if I dont have to. I guess I'll use some carb cleaner and rags and see where I end up.

Its been cold and snowy here lately. Ive been tearing it apart so if I decide to wash it off (which I still may cuz its plenty dirty underneith) I'm gonna have to push it in and out of the shop. I can probablly get it out OK, but giong back in up the bump is always a challenge. Hopefully my 650v2 ATV can push it back in....

Will it hurt it to pressure wash it with the starter out already?

be carful pressure washing. I don't know what it is but something gets wet and it doesn't idle right for 15-20 minutes. Never did figure it out but i think i got the FICM wet.

What i have found to remove and strip the diesel/grease is home depot purple degreaser (over with the mops and cleaning stuff by home and garden usually), put it into a spray bottle and spray down the areas. Let it sit for 10-15 then use running water (no squirting) to remove it and everything it touched. The good thing about is that it removes the film so if you get a leak in the same spot it, "wicks" and you can see it even though it leaked previously.

Wash you hands after you use this stuff, it is VERY STOUT.

water should exit the hole in the bottom of the housing, no issue that i can see with the starter being out.

Good luck

2+2 break clean, and get some die to add to coolant and use a ultra valet light that will tell you if the head gasket is leaking

Good call on the dye for the coolant. It finally got about 30 degrees here today so I pressure washed it off the best I could without getting too crazy. I got what I could anyway. How about squirting some extra KNN filter oil remover on it and hosing that off?

The hardest part was getting the damn thing back in the shop. Once the wheel hit the lip to go up into the shop my 4-wheeler would just spin out. I finally gave up and pushed it in with my other pickup. The tricky part is that I only have about 2 feet to spare between the front and back of the shop with my truck in. Trying to push it and then making sure it is stopped before it goes through the other wall is pretty difficult!!

I hear ya! 7000lbs of rolling fury. Last time i tried to stop mine i stepped in trans fluid and hit the ground fast.:)

Kinda like the ice you have to deal with.

Good luck.
