I have a buddy with an 07 lbz. He was changing his batteries out and removed positive lead 1st and it shorted out on ecm and fried it. He got another ecm and installed it. I loaded a stock file in the ecm with my v2. He had an injector code failure so I took care of that and read out the injector codes from gpcm and all was well. A couple days went by and he decided to run a dsp5 tune. I installed a dsp5 switch and the tuning. All works well other than when he puts in 4low he gets check engine light and brake light. If he puts in 4hi brake light goes away? I havent been able to scan it yet but has anyone seen this b4?

Mine does the same thing on both my trucks. In 4low the speedo quits and throws a speed sensor code. Shift back to high and no problem. Kory said one time about having the dealer flash it back to stock and us that new stock file as the base tune.

These trucks are too smart for their own good. Or at least they try to be.

There must be a problem with the 4wd low signal wire somewhere...

ECM cal isnt that important on 2001-2007 trucks...2wd, push-button 4wd, manual 4wd...you can interchange them all and the 4wd should still work fine. Although if you flash a push-button 4wd ECM cal into a manual-shift 4wd truck, the 4x4 indicator on the dash will stop working.

I would look for a wiring issue...

Ya this seems more on the lines of what is going on. I will get codes pulled today and try and narrow this down some.

Now that I think about it I don't believe mine freaked out with Ridge Runner tunes loaded in. I'll have to flash them in and check.

Yeah you have floor-shift manual 4wd right? The dummy who tuned your truck gave you a push-button xfer case file. ;)
