6" 4WD PERFORMANCE SYSTEM
The first HD system to hit the dirt was our 6" system clearing 35" tall tires. Lift is accomplished via one-piece cast drop down steering knuckles attaching to heavy-duty 1/4" thick, high arched lower control arm crossmembers with an integrated differential skid plate. Front and rear crossmembers are connected via tubular support tubes to provide additional front suspension rigidity.

Has anyone ever heard of problems with the pro-comp lift steering set-up and high horsepower applications?

I have a 6" procomp in the garage but i dont want to put it on and then have problems. I also think that you have to cut and weld in brackets for the a-arms? Dont know if it will be worth it in the long run. I might just get a Tuff Country

Speaking of lifts I think the rock krawler 8" with the solid front axle conversion would be really nice.

True, but it seems to be very strong. Which is nice, cause there is no telling what I tend to get myself into.

I like it a lot, had a LB7 and a LBZ before, overall it is probably my favorite over the 3. Don't really pay attention to my mileage, but I am happy with it, the interior is much nicer than my other 2 were. I'm happy:)

I'm running a 6" pro-comp. You do have to cut and weld on your front end. It was kind of a PITA. If I was to do it again I have heard a lot of good things about the tough country lift.
I have heard stories that the "H" bar or whatever it is called that drops your centerlink will bend. It was a bitch to put in to begin with, I dont know if mine is bent yet or not. I do know that my driveshaft from the TC to the front diff is hitting the nut that attaches the shifter cable to the tranny since I put the lift on. It has like 2" clearance just sitting there, but it must hit under full throttle. OR, it could have happened when I tried that 4-low boosted launch on gravel and popped my CV joint. I love the way it looks and the clearance I get for larger tires. It rides smoother than when I had my torsion bars cranked to clear my tires but that is a given I'm sure.

In this video i took off at a high RPM, you can see the front end hop and the rear bobble up and down. also my front right tire does its own thing:eek:

I took off at 25psi.:cool2:

This video i was only able to make about 15 psi before my tires started to break loose

4x4 is definitely better than 2x4.

Look at all the rubber on the pavement. I wish I could keep the tires planted at 15 pounds of boost.... :cool2:

Also, I almost forgot. Make sure the angle on the half shafts are pretty level too. You want the CV's to be a straight as possible, especially with big tires.

The Tuff Country lift is very rugged and is a proven performer on the sled pulling circuit. The front end geometry is perfect for racing or pulling. You do have to do a bit of cutting if I remember correctly. Just a bracket that holds the front dif in the stock location.
