anyone else just get the urge to go out and do a little launch? I excited to the frontage road, just decided it was a good time to make sure everything still works right! lol :woott: Daily driver tune, ran a 12.3 but i'm full weight with a loaded tool box and 25gal in the aux tank in the video.

This was 3 days before I dropped the batmo wheel in. I didn't record and of the non boosted launches from my batmo logs.

My dd is a 4 wheel drive but all 4 are in the rear... So an aggressive boosted launch =loss of traftion and smoke show. I havent adjusted yet from my lbz being 4 wheel drive, to this rear wheeler. I have never boost launched the lml... May need to try it

I did on a deserted dead end road near our place out in the country to try out some tuning changes. As Tom conveys, never in or near any other traffic.

There are a few long straight roads near me and near Chris' shop. Don't do many, but before a day at the track or after an upgrade, I will go out and make sure everything is working as it should....

I bet have done 150-200 launches on the street from street tires to cheater slicks. Where I live, I will stop in the highway in the middle of the day and let it have it lol.

If you and I lived a little closer, i'm pretty sure there would be some serious carnage on a daily basis!!

Geez buzz kill
I just save boosted launches for the track. I guess I dont see the point of stressing or breaking parts unnecessarily, or the possibility of losing control of the truck on a public street. Just me putting my "professional driver" hat on.

A coworker was telling me about his son and him doing some test launches in his 6.0 gasser 4x4 Silverado, and how the truck "when all over the place" when they did it. Scared them all to hell.
First thing I asked, "Are the Tbars dropped?"
"Uh, no. Are we supposed to?"
Then, "Do you have tie rod sleeves and have you braced the centerlink?"
"Uh, no"
"Well, looks like you have some work to do." ...as I shook my head.

These guys think they can take on my truck. Oh boy.
